Here are some beginning picutres of how our house looks now. Some of the spaces are complete while others are still works in progress. We think our house is really cute and layed out well. Here's a little walk through. When you enter the front door to the left you have a laundry room/tool room, a half bathroom, and the marble stairs. Straight ahead and to the right is the entrance to the dinning room. The kitchen is to the right of the dinning room and the living room and porch are to the left. Upstairs we have 2 bedrooms, a nice size loft, an attic area, and a large full bathroom. It is very spacious for us.

this does not look as bad as you made it sound - it looks way better than your old apartment off 50th. And the yellow isn't too bad, but I know how you like to keep things simple.
